Former Tulsa Police Officer Sentenced To 25-Years In Prison For 2014 Murder

A former Tulsa police officer has been sentenced to 25-years in prison for the 2014 murder of his daughter's teenage friend.

Former officer Shannon Kepler, who was found guilty of shooting and killing 19-year-old Jeremey Lake, was sentenced to 25 years in prison on Friday morning.

Kepler was convicted of causing death by using a firearm while committing an act of violence.

In April of 2021, a federal jury found Keppler guilty of murdering Lake and assaulting his 14-year-old brother in August of 2014.
