Domestic Violence Intervention Services, Inc. (DVIS) has been serving survivors in Green Country since 1976. When survivors come to DVIS, they may be facing many endings – to their relationship, their home, their financial stability, and even their dream for the future. But every end is a new beginning, and your donation to DVIS will help provide paths to hope, to safety, to empowerment, and to healing.
Join 92.9 The River and DVIS at Mutt Strut! DVIS’s annual Mutt Strut is a dog walk and pet costume contest that brings awareness and supplies to their kennel. DVIS was the first domestic violence shelter in Oklahoma to include a kennel for dogs and cats, keeping survivors and their beloved pets TOGETHER. Many domestic violence survivors feel hesitant to escape because they are concerned about what will happen to their pets when they leave. At DVIS, that is not an issue, and participating in Mutt Strut is a fun way to support!
Dress your dog in a favorite costume to compete for the crown of King or Queen of Mutt Strut! Or, if you dress up too, you could win best owner/dog duo!
